Viking Longship Design Challenge
Learning Objective: Pupils can describe key features of a Viking longship and design their own
About this resource
This engaging activity challenges Year 4 pupils to apply their knowledge of Viking history by designing their own longships, incorporating key features they have learned about. Teachers can use this resource to assess understanding and encourage creative problem-solving within a history lesson. It directly supports the UK National Curriculum's focus on understanding historical periods and their significant cultural contributions.
