5 minutes prepThis wordsearch is designed for Year 5 pupils studying Victorian Britain as part of their History curriculum. It serves as an excellent starter activity to introduce key vocabulary, a plenary to consolidate learning, or a fun homework task. Print out the wordsearch grid (to be automatically generated from the 'Words to Find' list) and this instruction sheet for each pupil. Encourage them to highlight or circle the words as they find them. Discuss the words afterwards to check understanding.

10-15 minutesOnce pupils have found all the words, challenge them to choose five words and write a short definition or description for each. For example, 'Queen Victoria: The monarch who ruled Britain for over 60 years during the Victorian era.'
